January-February, 2005: Class electives!

In January 2005, the class is trying out an alternate format for Sunday mornings. Our co-teachers, Ted and Tom are offering electives for you to choose from on Sunday, for about a five-week session. Each week, you can choose which session to attend, have 45 minutes of class time, with the final 15 minutes being given to a corporate "together" time of prayer and announcements.

Try it out and let us know what you think!

1. Stewarship - Ted - Parkside 104 (usual room)

2. Romans 1-8 - Tom - E-205 (the old ONE classroom upstairs)

June 2003 - September 2003:
Theology in Film
This is somewhat different than what we have done together up to now, and requires each family to actually watch specifically assigned videos outside of class (some of which you will have seen, others you may not have seen). We will only show capsule scenes in class (about 10 minutes), and the emphasis is on what the video is telling us about theological or Biblical issues, typically what is good or acceptable. The object is to first recognize the message and synthesize it in a capsule summary, then see what the Bible says about that topic - is the message in sync or opposed to what the Bible teaches.
