1. What is the common characteristic of every religion in the world?

Someone has access to the god they worship (a high priest).

Man's attempt to reach God vs Christianity, which is God's attempt to reach man

2. What is the primary significance of the one who is a priest? How is he/she to use that significance?

They are intermediaries to God. They can have direct access.

3. What qualifies one, O.T. and N.T. to be a priest?

Old Testament: holy and blameless; intermediary to God

New Testament: a belief in the work of Christ; access to holy of holies

4. What do you think is the major difference between the Old Testament priest and the priests of the Church?

Access; more people of today can be priests

5. What do priests do?

  • Communicate with God
  • Give a defense of our conviction when asked
  • Intercession
  • Worship
  • Sacrifice - offer body as a living sacrifice
